Floor Tech

The floor Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment within a healthcare facility. The role supports patient care by ensuring hospital floors and surrounding areas meet strict cleanliness, infection-control and safety standards.

- Clean, sanitize, and disinfect hospital floors in patient rooms, hallways, operating areas, and common spaces

- Perform floor care duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing

- Operate and maintain floor care equipment, including auto-scrubbers, burnishers, and buffers

- Follow hospital infection control procedures and safety protocols

- Properly handle and dispose of waste, including biohazard materials, according to regulations

- Respond to spills or emergency cleaning needs promptly

- Restock cleaning supplies and report equipment or maintenance issues

- Work around patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

Prior experience in hospital or healthcare environmental services

Familiarity with infection prevention standards

High school diploma or equivalent
