Description:
  • Oversee case production operations, including the drafting of client and legal correspondence documents. 
  • Leading case status team meetings with junior and senior Case Coordinators as needed and appropriate. 
  • Monitor case timelines/deadlines, and keep attorneys apprised of any relevant timing issues. 
  • Assign cases and otherwise adjust workload allocation to ensure that deadlines are met, as well as proactively addressing any productivity issues which may impede same. 
  • Examine and address questions or case issues raised by Case Coordinators, including providing guidance regarding resolution and/or escalating to an attorney if warranted. 
  • Function as a primary case reviewer for drafts/final submissions, including independently spotting and addressing most major case issues. 
  • Prepare case summaries and other documents to support case preparation and assist attorney in client communication on potential issues. 
  • Prepare and draft filings, including routine and advanced filings (RFE responses, complex fact patterns, etc.). 
  • Facilitate communications between client and team by acting as the primary point-of-contact for both, including providing updates to clients on progress of a case. 
  • Provide training and mentorship to Case Coordinators and new team members as needed. 
  • Establish good working relationships with clients to ensure flow and relevant and appropriate communications on client accounts. 
  • Generate reports for case teams and oversee report generation for clients. ? 
  • Ensure team is following firm protocol with respect to file maintenance, record-keeping and use of case management system. 
  • Supporting and leading additional projects as required. 
  • Assisting with ad-hoc administrative functions, as needed. 
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in all types of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions. 
  • Demonstrated high level of competence in designated area of immigration law. 
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills. 
  • Willingness to take on added responsibilities and learn new things 
  • Ability to show initiative and work as part of a team. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt quickly to firm-specific software. 
  • Excellent time management skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree.
