The Opportunity
We are seeking a Vice President, Corporate Controller to lead our global accounting and controllership function. Reporting directly to our CAO, this individual will oversee GrubMarket’s global accounting operations and divisional controllers as we continue to scale rapidly across markets and business units. The Corporate Controller plays a critical role in maintaining strong internal controls, driving process efficiencies, supporting system improvements, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
This is a highly visible leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment and has successfully guided organizations through significant scale and transformation — from private to public.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage the monthly financial closes processes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across all entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Oversee consolidation and intercompany accounting of subsidiaries.
Review financial reporting packages and analysis prepared by divisional controllers.
Develop scalable accounting policies, processes, and systems that support growth and operational excellence.
Assist with implementation of internal controls in compliance of Sarbanes Oxley and thereafter, maintain and enhance internal controls.
Serve as a key liaison to auditors and ensure readiness for PCAOB standards and SEC-level reporting.
Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing global accounting organization that reflects GrubMarket’s values of integrity, collaboration, and innovation.
Align divisional finance teams with corporate accounting policies and timelines.
Provide support for new business initiatives, M&A integration, system implementations, and organizational changes.
Who You Are
Experienced & Strategic: 15+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience, including time in Big 4 public accounting and senior leadership roles within high-growth or global companies.
Credentialed: CPA required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
IPO-Ready: Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls, with proven success scaling teams through pre-IPO or post-IPO transitions.
Systems-Savvy: Proficient in ERP and financial systems implementation and optimization, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
Global & Agile: Comfortable leading across multiple regions and entities; experience in international accounting and consolidations preferred.
Hands-On Leader: Equally comfortable designing strategy and diving into the details to ensure precision and execution.
Collaborative Partner: Exceptional communicator who builds trust across finance, operations, and executive teams.
Nice to Have
Experience in technology-enabled, logistics, or supply chain businesses.
Experience in multi-division or decentralized enterprise environment.
Exposure to M&A, integration, and complex business model accounting.
Track record of building and scaling distributed global teams.
