Job Description

BeVera Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced, full-time Senior Communications Specialist to support a federal public health contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This role leads strategic, integrated communications initiatives, oversees development of digital and print products, and ensures messaging aligns with federal standards and audience engagement goals. The Senior Communications Specialist will guide cross-functional collaboration and maintain regular coordination with the Government Program Manager to ensure successful execution of communications deliverables.


NOTE: Position contingent upon award of contract. This role is part of a pre-award candidate search for an upcoming federal government contract.  


Requirements:
  • Oversee multi-faceted communications program areas, including digital, social, web, print, and multimedia products.
  • Lead development of integrated communications strategies to support public health outreach objectives.
  • Direct creation of monthly organic social media packages, including platform-specific graphics, captions, and hashtag strategies aligned with approved content calendars.
  • Guide development of video concepts, motion graphics, animated content, and supporting digital materials based on formative research insights.
  • Oversee development and updates to campaign style guides, ensuring visual consistency across platforms and materials.
  • Support preparation of federal clearance packages for communications products in accordance with established review processes.
  • Provide strategic input on website content, design updates, and web optimization strategies informed by performance metrics.
  • Coordinate cross-team collaboration among designers, content developers, web staff, and project leadership to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Meet regularly with the Government Program Manager to discuss performance, propose new initiatives, and establish priorities.
  • Contribute to building and sustaining an integrated communications structure capable of supporting media, stakeholder engagement, and outreach efforts.


Educational and Experience Qualifications 

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements for successful performance under the anticipated contract.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in communications, public health messaging, or strategic outreach.
  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated communications strategies across multiple media platforms.
  • Experience managing digital and social media campaigns, including content development and analytics-informed optimization.
  • Strong understanding of federal communications standards and review processes.
  • Excellent written, editorial, and strategic communication skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment.
