Overview of Job Functions
- General construction, carpentry, painting, drywall, fixture installation, light electrical, HVAC systems repair, and door/window installation.
- Assistance with remodels, retrofits, maintenance, and repairs of existing showrooms.
- Performing inspections of the interior and exterior of properties periodically.
- Warehouse work, office work, maintaining paperwork for inventory, and expenses.
- Internal and external communication and follow-up.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry work, including framing, baseboards, etc.
- Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp the requirements
- Taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed
- Construct, repair, and install building frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials.
- Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repairs or replaces them using hand tools.
- Moves necessary materials around job sites as assigned; cleans up worksite debris.
- Drywall installation, finish, and repair.
- Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster.
- Repairing cracks and any other damage to the drywall panels,and concealing any imperfections or exposed irregularities in the drywall surface.
- Standing down rough areas on the wall to create a smooth surface in preparation for finishing work.
- Inspect and make repairs to plumbing on sinks, faucets, and drains
- Perform repairs to electrical fans, plugs, switches, and breakers
- Perform internal and external inspections requiring technical knowledge
- General interior repairs such as flooring, painting, and patching
- Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
- General exterior repairs such as concrete patching, water penetration, and minor roof repair
Role Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician with comparable duties
- Knowledge of basic interior and exterior maintenance, carpentry and construction methods, repair, steps, ceramic and LVT flooring, subfloors, sheetrock installation, finishing, and painting
- Knowledge of minor electrical: switches, plugs, fans, and breakers
- Knowledge of plumbing: sinks, tubs, water heaters, and drains
- Ability to review needed work and accurately estimate needed time investment, labor, and materials
- Must be able to bend, shift, walk, reach, stand for long periods on a hard surface, work safely using (up to) a 24’ ladder, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be punctual and personable; Ability to work well with others
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make informed decisions
- Be self-motivated, ability to work independently, and be accountable for work quality
- Reliable daily transportation and a valid driver’s license
- We require a clean driving record and background check.
Total Compensation
- The compensation package for this role includes a base hourly wage of
- $27.50
