Art Director
Salary Range: $94,000 - $110,000
Summary:
The Art Director works directly with the Creative Director to coordinate and execute projects across various media for the Association and its sub-brands.
The Art Director brings a high level of design expertise, talent, and skill to the department. The position works alongside the Creative Director to delegate day-to-day requests and takes the lead on various projects as assigned by the Creative Director.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Develop branded campaign themes and platforms for the Association and its sub-brands
- Generate ideas and concepts that are engaging and communicate effectively
- Produce high-level graphics that work across multiple platforms and media
- Work directly with internal staff at all levels to meet various project needs
- Keep Creative Director informed of project statuses and potential roadblocks
- Coordinate and oversee production of printed projects including board books, signage, and collateral
- Review documents and collateral produced outside of the Communications Department to ensure adherence with CTIA brand standards
- Make critical decisions regarding vendors, materials, and printing techniques to deliver projects within specific timelines and budget parameters
- Attend association events as needed for technical support of presentations

Qualifications:

Knowledge:
Expert level knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint is essential. While Mac based, the Art Director must have a working knowledge of PCs and understand the design challenges moving from a Mac to PC in regards to PDFs, presentations, etc.
Education and/or experience:
Must have minimum seven years experience in responsible public affairs and media relations positions. Previous experience and familiarity with telecommunications issues required. Four-year college degree or Fine Arts equivalent.
Language skills:
Detail-oriented with knowledge of grammar and punctuation. Proficiency in proofreading skills and strong communications skills are required

CTIA is currently operating on a hybrid work schedule with in-person requirements on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in its Washington, DC office.
