JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

The Saw Operator ensures the safe operation of a chop saw. Cuts materials to correct length and measurements.

  • Completes daily orders per production schedule
  • Maintains equipment and ensures work area is clean and safe at all times
  • Follows all safety rules
  • Performs other duties as requested to full accountability

Work Environment:

This job operates in a manufacturing environment.  This role frequently operates a chop saw; routinely uses standard hand tools. Noise such as warehouse equipment and machinery. This list is not all inclusive.

 Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to speak and listen. This position requires prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks; walking, as well as use hands and fingers to handle, feel, lift, grasp,; reach with hands and arms; bending, squatting, reaching. Requires excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. The employee may be required to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

 Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, occasional overtime as necessary.
