About this position

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for a Water Aerobic Instructor to teach class in the evenings.

Water Aerobic Instructor at the Burkley Fitness Center

A water aerobics instructor, teaches aerobic exercise classes in a pool setting. Their responsibilities include:

Teaching
Instructing participants on proper techniques, demonstrating exercises, and explaining how to strengthen specific muscles
Planning
Designing exercises for different fitness levels and ages, and preparing equipment, music, and handouts for each class
Leading
Teaching scheduled classes, starting and ending on time, and providing warm-ups, stretching, and cool downs
Enforcing safety
Ensuring that safety standards are met, and that participants remain safe during the class
Educating
Teaching participants about fitness and safety, and providing appropriate attire guidance
Communicating
Keeping management informed of pool activities, facility needs, and significant problems
Following rules
Following and enforcing all pool standards and rules
