Massage Therapist

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing massage therapy services to members and other clients. Responsible for scheduling assessments, consultations and other program services; provide a wide variety of massage services at pre-determined times throughout the week and weekend; must stay current on trends in massage such as new techniques or approaches demanded by the public; maintain confidentiality of all client information; demonstrate responsiveness to customer/guest needs by being available to answer questions.

Position is part-time with full-time potential

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required, current and valid Massage Therapist License, CPR, Basic First Aid and AED training required; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each area of responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
1. Knowledge of proper body mechanics and massage techniques and approaches is required for both the safety of the employee and also the safety of the members and participants.
2. Must demonstrate the ability to support and contribute to the community team.
3. Must work well with various member populations and people of all ages.
4. Must have the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously while paying close attention to detail.
5. Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule, work efficiently without close supervision, and work effectively with other staff members.
6. Must have the ability to effectively operate a telephone, personal computer, fax machine, other various office equipment, and software/programs(i.e. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook).
7. Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, company staff, and the public.
8. Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask with strong attention to detail.
9. Must have a strong orientation to customer service and have exceptional skills in working cooperatively with others.
