Mission:
Racemark International NA, LLC is seeking a detail‑oriented Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations in our fast‑moving manufacturing facility in Calhoun, GA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with employees, staying organized, and helping maintain a positive workplace culture. This position assists the Human Resources Manager with other aspects of the department as needed.
The Human Resources Department fulfills responsibilities in most or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.
Working Relationships: This is a highly visible position. Incoming calls are overseen at this position. Visitors greeted and assisted by the Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Department interacts with all departments within the company.
Essential Functions:
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Maintain job postings, resume review, and interview scheduling.
- Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and pre-employment steps.
- Manage the on-boarding of new hires through ADP system and setting up onboarding materials with departments.
- Support new‑hire orientation and ensure accurate completion of required forms.
- Assist in the development of employee-orientated company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Assist in the development of a superior workforce.
HR Support & Administration
- Maintain personnel files and update employee records in HRIS.
- Assist with timekeeping corrections and payroll-related documentation.
- Prepare employee documentation (status changes, attendance notices, disciplinary forms)
- Provide front‑line HR support to employees and leadership.
- Maintain monthly digital postings and lead the organization of approved employee events.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Support employee communication, events, and recognition programs.
- Assist supervisors and employees with policy and procedure questions.
Compliance & Reporting
- Help ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEO, and internal policies.
- Maintain documentation for audits, training records, and safety reporting.
- Track headcount, attendance, and other HR metrics.
Training & Safety
- Coordinate and maintain Safety Committee programs promoting safe work environment.
- Schedule and track safety and job‑specific training
- Maintain training logs and certifications.
- Support safety initiatives and incident documentation, and safety procedures including Workers Comp claims.
- Assists in the implementation of services, policies, and programs throughout company.
Education, Experience, and Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in manufacturing office setting.
- Must be efficient in Microsoft products such as Excel, WORD, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- ADP and Plex software programs are a plus.
- Confidentiality and trustworthiness - necessary job requirement.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
