The Key Objective of the Warehouse Associate is to contribute to the growth and profitability of Multi-Pak by effectively executing the functions of Warehouse Operations. Specifically, under the general direction of the Logistics Manager, he/she is responsible and has commensurate authority for the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions: 

Coordinating and Planning:

  • Support the coordination, planning, execution, and monitoring of supply chain operations.
  • Provide support to the Logistics Manager across various warehouse operations.
  • Understand trailer load build types and customer-specific loading criteria to ensure trailers are loaded accurately, safely, and in compliance with service requirements.

2. Shipping and Receiving:

  • Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurate, complete, and undamaged.
  • Handle documentation, cross reference and verify material list is accurate before loading.
  • Thoroughly review shipment documents (such as BOL and packing lists) to verify accuracy prior to shipment release.
  • Compare pallet tags and quantities against shipping paperwork and physical product to identify discrepancies.
  • Raise flags and immediately escalate any inconsistencies in quantities, pallet counts, labeling, or documentation before shipment departure.
  • Accurately record transportation details provided by drivers, including truck number, trailer number, and tractor license plate information.

3. Outgoing Materials:

  • Process outbound shipments, including order confirmation and physical checks of outgoing materials.
  • Verify shipment accuracy by reviewing BOLs and packing lists and confirming load configuration meets customer criteria.

4. Warehouse Equipment Operation:

  • Safely operates warehouse equipment including forklift, electric pallet jack, and other material handling equipment as required.
  • Support trailer loading and unloading operations while maintaining proper weight distribution and load security standards.

5. End-to-End Delivery:

  • Throughout the shipping cycle, ensure the end-to-end delivery of goods.
  • Handle  various functions related to incoming and outgoing shipment processing, product delivery, and customer support.
  • Maintain high standards of shipment accuracy to prevent mis-shipments and service failures.

Nonessential Functions/Demands:

  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A collaborative and positive attitude is required. A desire to learn is exhibited.
  • High school graduate with experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management for a manufacturing company.
  • Ability to operate forklift, electric pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • The ability to obtain in internal Power Equipment Use certification
  • Previous certification demonstrating ability to drive a forklift is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to read, understand, and verify Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, pallet tags, and shipping documentation.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies in quantities, paperwork, or load configurations and proactively escalate concerns.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus (English-Spanish).

• Manager: Logistics Manager

• Managerial Responsibility: N/A 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds frequently and 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to walk or stand up to 90% of the time.
  • The person in this position is sometimes required to function in narrow aisles or passageways while walking throughout the warehouse area.
  • Must be able and willing to work in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow, when supporting outdoor loading, unloading, or yard-related responsibilities.

Salary Information

$20.00 - $20.00 Hourly Wage
