PURPOSE STATEMENT 

Game One is the premier provider of apparel, gear, and equipment unifying teams and fans in schools, clubs, and organizations. 

JOB SUMMARY 

The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manager will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts and design a seamless onboarding experience that sets new hires up for long-term success. This role will partner closely with leadership and hiring managers to attract top talent, strengthen employer branding, and ensure an engaging, structured onboarding journey that improves retention and performance.


Key Responsibilities


Talent Acquisition

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across all departments (sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and closing).
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and talent pipelines.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and interview processes.
  • Implement structured, bias-reducing interview frameworks and candidate evaluation tools.
  • Monitor and report on recruitment KPIs (time-to-fill, quality of hire, candidate experience, diversity metrics).
  • Strengthen employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external recruiters, job boards, and staffing agencies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and hiring regulations.
  • Key player in managing the Sales Development Program and launching Sales Internship program. 


Onboarding & Employee Integration

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve a structured onboarding program.
  • Oversee pre-boarding processes including offer documentation, background checks, and new hire communications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional onboarding activities (IT setup, training schedules, orientation sessions).
  • Partner with managers to create 30-60-90 day onboarding plans.
  • Measure onboarding effectiveness through feedback surveys and retention data.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions and promote company culture, mission, and values.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from candidate to engaged employee.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition; 2+ years in onboarding or HR program management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, employment law, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms, specifically ADP.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing recruitment and retention metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
