Manhattan - Union Doorman/Porter Vacation Relief
Goldfarb Properties, a privately owned and leading New York Real Estate Management Company that has been in business for over 50 years is seeking an experienced Vacation Doorman/Porter Relief Doorman (Seasonal Union Position) for our Manhattan locations. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, high energy, customer service driven person who has a sincere interest in helping others and projects a warm, eager to please mindset that makes residents/guests feel special.
Under the supervision of the General Manager, Facilities Manager and/or Superintendent:
- Project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor.
- Ensure Building security and safety for tenants to include guest registration (check identification, announce visitors and deliveries).
- Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests with courtesy and urgency.
- Report incidents of a serious nature to the superintendent on duty.
- Maintain key log and all applicable data sheets.
- Assist with package deliveries.
- Answer the lobby phone and respond to calls accordingly.
- Manage general cleanliness of assigned work areas
- Perform trash removal and operate trash compactor
Requirements:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including Holidays, Overnight and Weekends
- Have a "can do, whatever it takes" attitude with strong follow-up skills
- Adhere to professional dress code requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Attention to detail is a must
- Previous experience using BuildingLink and KeyLink is plus
- Ability to strip and wax floors is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish/English a plus)
Benefits and Compensation
Salary: $20-$27 per hour (Salary Range: $41,600 - $56,160)
This a seasonal union position. 32BJ Union Benefits, upon regular FT Hire
