How you get to show up: Description of the role big picture
Teaming up with the COO, you will be the brains, the face and the support system to create excellence within our Production facility. Your impact will be felt by all of our teams and customers as you create our industry leading Cider at higher volumes through systemic improvements. Passionate about making beverages that taste better and last longer so that more people can enjoy it on a national scale? Then this is your role.
What you get to do: Description of the role activities and responsibilities
As the owner of everything within the four walls of the plant, you get to lead the team using daily meetings, coaching, building your people, and adding new top talent to your group. You are the one responsible for excellence and all the challenges that presents you. Day to day action items include:
- Creating a culture of excellence
- Building your team’s activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles
- Showing up as a servant leader
- Partnering closely with your peers in Supply Chain and Quality
- Working hand in hand with your Sales team to deliver the best product nationwide
- Leading your team to create a high functioning environment where your team members build careers they are excited by and can grow in
What great looks like: Qualifications and experience
You will come to join us because you want a career and not just a job; you are selecting into the right kind of pressure, choosing high expectations and wanting to put your hand up to be rewarded because of it! In your career so far, we believe if you have achieved training, education and real-world experience that includes the below then you will be ready to take on this role and will have all the potential needed to succeed in it:
- Enough time in a leadership role to show up as a true leader – usually 3 or more years creates the wisdom and practical experience to succeed but if you can do it with less, we want to know!
- 5 years of trained experience in a team that delivers – all our jobs teach us something, we want the people that listened, got smarter for it and improved every year
- Lean manufacturing training and ideally certifications – repetition of good practices creates great team members, and you can only teach and manage if you understand what your team is trying to do. Lean has made logic the cornerstone of their systems, and we like that a lot!
- A career and life of choosing in when it gets hard – no this is not HR nonsense, this is a lifestyle choice and a hallmark of success
