Perform quality work within deadlines, with or without direct supervision.Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.Position purposeThe RCM Supervisor is responsible for supervising and developing the RCM staff assigned to them, ensuring that individual and team productivity, as well as all other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), are monitored and communicated consistently and appropriate action is taken to rectify issues in performance.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Provide daily guidance and direction to team membersEnsure all work is distributed effectively and workflows are followedMonitor individual user productivityPerform quality audits and present findingsRespond to issues raised, both externally and internally, in a timely and effective mannerActively participate in root cause analysis and coordinate resolution between appropriate parties, escalating when requiredServe as first response for employee issues/disputesApprove time off requests, ensuring adequate staffing during peak timesSupervise staff, holding employees accountable for assigned responsibilities, individual goals, and performance expectations through annual performance evaluationsLead team huddles in the designated cadence and support employee engagement effortsSupport compilation of team performance updates for management; attend management meetings when requestedWork in coordination with other members of the Central Billing Office as neededMaintain privacy and confidentiality per policy and HIPAA regulationsPerform other related duties as required and assignedQualifications
Qualifications
QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 4-6 years of prior physician RCM billing experience is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Performance Requirements:Be able to read and understand medical benefitsGood communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent customer service skills are requiredProficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word and MS ExcelAbility to multi-task and prioritize in fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and decision-making skillAbility to work efficiently both independently and in a team-oriented environmentAbility to perform in a deadline driven environmentSelf-motivated with initiativeStrong sense of ethicsAbility to manage conflict and resolve issuesEquipment Operated: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Work Environment: Leading a remote workforce and may occasionally be requested to come into the office for collaborative team meetings in person

May work at computer monitors for prolonged periods with danger of eye strain and muscle pain. Could cause stress if workload is heavy.
