About this position
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
This role supports the overall success of the DC IT department by delivering dependable technical support, maintaining stable systems and accurate inventory, and contributing to key IT projects. By helping ensure reliable technology operations and minimizing downtime, the IT Technician enables staff to work efficiently and advances the organization’s broader mission and long-term technology objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will serve as a key point of contact for technical support, assisting remote and onsite users with hardware, software, and system-related issues. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, mobile devices, and applications to ensure reliable day-to-day operations.
In this role, you will support new employee onboarding, maintain accurate documentation of service requests and resolutions, and perform preventative maintenance on network-connected equipment. You will take ownership of assigned tickets, escalate complex issues when necessary, and deliver clear, timely communication to users.
You will also collaborate closely with the Sr. Systems Administrator on system upgrades, equipment refreshes, and other IT initiatives that strengthen and modernize the organization’s technology infrastructure.
ABOUT YOU:
You bring 2–3 years of hands-on experience supporting PC hardware and operating systems, along with an entry-level IT certification (CompTIA, CCNA, or similar). You have a foundational understanding of IT principles—including hardware, software, networking, and security—and are comfortable working with Microsoft 365, Windows, and macOS environments.
You are a strong problem-solver with excellent communication skills, customer-service focused, and eager to continue growing your technical expertise. You’re able to handle equipment as needed and thrive in a collaborative, service-oriented environment. A bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) is required. Familiarity with Azure, SaaS support, and an understanding of the Catholic faith and mission are a plus.
