About this position

Description:

The counselor is responsible for assessments, plan of care development, counseling, crisis intervention, resource referrals, specialized groups and intervention programs in accordance with empowerment-based practice. Responsible for recruitment and supervision of master’s level interns. Also responsible for research design and implementation. Required public speaking, training, and development of training materials for mental health providers. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, discretion and judgment without assistance from supervisor. Must be flexible in working hours by working some evenings, weekends as needed for crisis intervention.

Requirements:

MSW or master's degree in counseling, Human Services, or Behavioral Health fields with a minimum of two years of clinical experience with victims of domestic violence. Experience and/or familiarity with trauma-informed therapy, cognitive/behavioral therapy, art therapy, bibliotherapy, yoga/movement therapy, and spiritual enrichment opportunities preferred. Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: sexual assault or domestic violence programs. Must be able to read, write and speak English; bi-lingual capabilities a plus. A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required. Vehicle insurance must be maintained. Must meet eligibility requirements for Hubbard House, Inc. vehicle insurance coverage. All applicants must pass a level 2 background screening.


 

This is an onsite position.
