We are seeking an Assistant Estimator for a direct hire opportunity in Gaithersburg MD with a design-assist specialty contractor

Pay Range: $65k -$85k (depending on experience or let us know what you need)

Responsibilities for Assistant Estimator:

Assists in preparing accurate material take-offs.
Organizes specifications per job scope for estimate.
Prepares substitution requests for value engineering purposes.
Assists in the preparation of project cost, estimates, and bid for new projects.
Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.

Qualifications for Assistant Estimator:

2 plus years of construction estimating experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or engineering preferred
Experience in business development, is a plus but not required
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Ability to make sound decisions based on experience and personal judgment.
Have excellent communication and organization skills.
Proficiency with Excel and Bluebeam is a plus.
