Forest Protection Limited is looking for exceptional pilots for the 2025 wildfire and aerial application season. If you’re ready to fly with a team that values skill, safety, and service and you meet the qualifications below, we want to hear from you! 

 

Fire Boss  

Minimum candidate: 

  • Commercial Pilot License-Fixed wing 
  • 2500hrs PIC 
  • 2000 Float – 200 amphib
    • 1500hrs float acceptable if candidate also possesses 500hrs in turbine powered tailwheel aircraft
  • 1000hrs turbine
  • A valid IFR is an asset

 

Tanker Pilot – AT 802 

Minimum candidate: 

  • Commercial Pilot License-Fixed wing
  • Obtained at least 1500 hours of pilot in command time and 300 hours tailwheel experience. 
  • A valid IFR is an asset

Birddog Pilot 

Minimum candidate:  

  • Possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing and
  • Have obtained at least 3000hrs of Pilot in Command (PIC), 500hrs turbine and 500hrs multi engine. 
  • Have a valid IFR 
  • Previous experience in role or familiarity in aerial suppression operations is an asset but not required.
  • Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset


Shadow Pilot  

Minimum candidate: 

  • Possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing 
  • Have obtained at least 1000 hours of total time and 100hrs multi-engine PIC.
  • Have a valid IFR
  • Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI is an asset.
  • Experience in a PT6 equipped aircraft is an asset.

 

For all positions, preference will be given to pilots who have experience with turbine engines and low altitude operations like aerial application or fire suppression.
