The Manager of Energy Contracts and Settlements is responsible for all aspects of managing 3CE’s power supply contracts, including overseeing 3CE’s power supply contract lifecycle, formulating and implementing improvements for contract administration and settlements processes, and submitting regulatory compliance filings.<br><br>The Manager of Energy Contracts and Settlements is part of the Power Supply Resources team and works closely with 3CE’s data &amp; analytics and regulatory affairs teams along with external consultants and vendors. This position may also provide support and analysis as needed to power resource planning, competitive solicitations, and the development of customer energy programs.
<strong><em>&nbsp;Knowledge of:</em></strong><br><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Energy Contract Management lifecycles and Energy Settlements invoicing &amp; validation best practices</li><li>The structure and content of standard power purchase agreements and energy storage agreements.</li><li>Regulatory reporting and compliance requirements of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), including California’s Renewables Portfolio Standard, Power Content Label and Power Source Disclosure program.</li><li>Energy generation and energy storage technologies including wind, biomass, geothermal, solar, solar, hydroelectric, and lithium-ion batteries.</li><li>Procurement process and use of renewable energy certificates to support mandatory and voluntary compliance programs and the Western Renewable Energy Information System (WREGIS).</li><li>The California Independent System Operator (CAISO) settlement process.</li><li>Power scheduling.</li></ul><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)</li></ul><br><strong><em>Ability to:</em></strong><br><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals representing diverse cultures, backgrounds, and languages</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to display proficiency in both verbal and written communication, including public speaking, media relations, and crafting clear, persuasive messaging.</li></ul><br><strong>Any combination of training, education, and experience that provides the knowledge skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position is qualifying.</strong><br><br><strong><u>Education:&nbsp;</u></strong>Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance or a related field&nbsp;<br><br><strong>OR &nbsp;</strong><br><br><strong><u>Experience</u></strong>: Five (5) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in contract management and/or settlements&nbsp;<br>AND<br>At least two years in supervising or leading staff and/or team.&nbsp;<br><u><br></u><strong>Highly Desirable:&nbsp;</strong>Experience working with energy market platforms or settlements and advanced Excel modeling and data analysis skills.<br><br><strong id="isPasted">Additional Requirements:</strong> This position may involve working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
