Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients experiencing acute and chronic pain. You will work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care while practicing at the top of your license.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage pain-related and comorbid medical conditions in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and clinical findings to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing, high-quality patient care through the thoughtful application and modification of advanced clinical techniques and protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, expectations, and pain-management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation.
  • Stay current with advancements in pain management, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current, unrestricted APRN or PA license in the state of Florida.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Required: Current DEA license, or proof of application submitted.
  • Required: Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (NP, PA, or equivalent). Experience in pain management, acute care, post-acute care, or managing complex patient populations is strongly preferred.
