Driver

Starting Pay Rate: $18 - $20 per hour  

Status: Per Diem/Hourly

Job Duties: 

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Operate agency vehicles to transport individuals in the community (churches, nursing homes, clinics, malls, restaurants, casinos etc.) using door‑to‑door assistance. 
• Provide safe boarding and disembarking support. 
• Perform daily pre‑trip/post‑trip inspections, mileage logs, fueling, and ensure cleanliness of assigned vehicles (interior/exterior).
• Follow GPS routes and maintain communication with dispatch/staff and customers. 
• Participate in ongoing, employer provided, driver training. 
• Maintain customer confidentiality in all interactions and documentation.
• Valid NY State Driver’s License with 2 years clean driving record required. 

Education: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.  

Skills & Abilities: 

• Use of cell phone/tablet, read and write in English, ability to follow GPS instructions.
• Good communication and customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

Coverage Area: Oneida County

Vehicle Location: Utica, NY
