The Role
As a Data Analytics Engineer supporting the vertical, you will own the analytics layer that powers operational and executive reporting.
You will transform Salesforce, Zendesk, and internal operational data into trusted, performance-optimized datasets and Tableau dashboards used by leadership.
This role is primarily focused on analytics engineering, reporting execution, and data modeling. Data pipeline development will be limited to structured ELT/ETL enhancements and multi-source data transformations within an existing Redshift and Databricks ecosystem.
You will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability across dashboards and recurring business reviews.
What You’ll Do:
Own Analytics & Reporting- Build and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards using calculated fields, LOD expressions, and cross-dataset modeling
- Develop reusable metrics, KPI definitions, and reporting logic
- Deliver executive dashboards for MBRs, QBRs, and operational reviews
- Ensure KPI consistency and a single source of truth across all analytics assets
- Create analytics-ready data models in Redshift and Databricks
- Perform ELT/ETL transformations using advanced SQL and Python (Pandas)
- Integrate data from Salesforce, Zendesk, and operational systems
- Optimize queries and data structures for performance and scalability
- Maintain layered datasets (raw → curated → analytics-ready)
- Monitor ingestion workflows and scheduled data refreshes
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and data inconsistencies
- Ensure Tableau datasets remain accurate, performant, and reliable
- Translate business requirements into technical analytics solutions
- Provide documentation for metrics, transformations, and logic
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis using trusted datasets
- Implement validation checks and accuracy controls
- Investigate discrepancies across systems and resolve root causes
- Maintain consistent metric definitions across data sources
What We Expect From You:
Advanced SQL (expert level)
- Python for data transformation and automation
- Strong Tableau development experience
- Experience with Redshift and Databricks
- CRM analytics experience (Salesforce, Zendesk)
Analytics Engineering Capabilities
- Data modeling for BI and reporting
- Metric layer design and dimensional modeling
- ELT/ETL across heterogeneous data sources
- Query optimization and warehouse tuning
Cloud Experience
- AWS data stack (Redshift, S3, Lambda)
- Familiarity with GCP/BigQuery is a plus
- Experience supporting executive-level reporting
- Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
- Exposure to Workforce Management (WFM) or operational analytics
- Basic understanding of data governance best practices
