Work Schedule: Night Shift, Monday- Thursday 2 PM- 1:30 am
Essential Leadership Functions:
1. Ensure that production is maintained in accordance with time schedules, electrical specifications and codes, quality standards, employee safety and cost goals, and also assist in maintaining a goal-oriented, safe, and quality-conscious working environment.
2. Coordinate staffing with team leads for best utilization of employee resources, discuss/review project performance with team leads and employees.
3.Provide training and direction to team leads, assemblers and technicians; coach and make effective suggestions and recommendations to improve employee performance and develop career paths. Provide leadership to leads and employees on Continuous Improvement initiatives
4.Ensures employees are fully trained in all aspects of their jobs and provides training where it is required to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood and that leads and new Mechanical Technicians demonstrate proficiency.
5.Develop performance standards to ensure consistency and uniformity in production output and quality.
6.Facilitate the engagement of General Manager, Engineering, PM’s, Purchasing, to ensure smooth production flow.
7.Conduct departmental audits of the Mechanical Assembly Production process to ensure compliance with safety, quality and production standards and policies.
8.Maintain necessary flexibility within assigned operation, ensuring effective reaction to customer requirements that frequently disrupt established production schedules.
Requirements:Essential Production Functions:
1. Assemble structural framework and frameCAD wall assembles on skids.
2. Perform basic troubleshooting duties as required and diagnose cause of mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and make necessary repairs.
3. Perform installations compliant with current regulations and customer specifications.
4. Follow quality process in checking procedures and equipment to verify mechanical integrity of units.
5. Install various types of siding, windows, and metal panel products on modular buildings, skids, E-houses and other portable structures.
6.Measure, cut, trim and bend product according to specifications. Install roofing material, mount and install door assemblies, install panic hardware and closures.
7.Measure fit and install interior/exterior insulation and/or panels, waterproof surfaces by filling joints, cracks with calking compound, perform exterior trim work and prep building for shipping. Clean and touch up.
8. Troubleshoot engineering and fabrication defects.
9.Design, build, and erect shipping split walls.
10. Perform installations compliant with current regulations and customer specifications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• High school diploma with at least 10-15 years of production/construction experience assembling and installing mechanical assembly equipment, siding, doors, etc. 5-10 years of supervising employees.
