About this position

Internship is an integral part of the preparation of the pharmacist and builds on didactic education by providing supervised participation in pharmacy practice. An internship provides opportunities to use, improve and apply skills necessary to perform the Pharmacist job duties successfully, including communication, judgment, management and mechanical skills. Internship is a period of personal and professional maturation, which combines all aspects of pharmacy education and culminates in preparedness for practice.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Completion of a secondary year at an accredited school of pharmacy or other requirements as per Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: experience as a Pharmacy Technician

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Registration with Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services or Eligibility for Registration upon Hire

Preferred/Optional: Certified Pharmacy Technician. Immunization Certification.
