Route Supervisor Job Description

Job summary
CITY Laundering is seeking a hands-on, safety-minded Route Supervisor to support, train, and guide our Route Service Representatives (RSRs) and Apprentices. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all daily service routes launch successfully, run efficiently, and reflect CITY’s high standards for safety and customer satisfaction.
Duties and essential job functions
· Unlock the building in the morning and lock up the building in the evening
· Launch all routes each day by ensuring drivers have all necessary materials, and information and know what winning the day looks like
· Perform in-person daily end-of-the-day check-ins with each route rep, monitoring performance and addressing any issues or needs
· Actively ride with route reps throughout the week, providing on-the-job training, support, and coaching
· Communicate any urgent issues upward to the Service Manager in real time to ensure all concerns are corrected in responsive matter.
· Lead continuous improvement and safety training sessions for route reps.
· Monitor driving performance using Samsara software, taking proactive steps to improve safety scores and addressing any driver alerts each day with the route rep
· Ensure route personnel adhere to safety protocols and exceed expectations in compliance and conduct.
· Take ownership of running a pre-determined route along with managing the route service representative and route service apprentices
· Be CITY Laundering’s Co’s face to our customers and potential customers while on route and communicate the importance of this to their team
· This position requires regular and reliable attendance
· Maintain a clean driving record and is responsible for filling in and assisting all routes
· Unload clean laundry and load soil laundry onto straight truck
· Ensure route fulfillment and customer satisfaction
· Maintain positive communication with customers, potential customers and teammates
· Organize invoice and complete paperwork to the office after each day
· Other duties as assigned. Minimum requirements
