About this position

Job Summary:

CAD Designers use AutoCad to help generate drawings from customer prints and samples.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Use CAD software to create detailed 2D designs for complex jobs.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with customers for clarification, coordination, and negotiation on critical issues.
  • Collaborate with others to establish timelines based on current workload.
  • Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials.
  • Ability to analyze date and situations and come up with creative solutions.
  • Contributes to team efforts by performing duties within the CAD Department and other Departments, including production, as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
Preferred minimum of 2-year related experience.  
 

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 60 pounds regularly.
Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day.
Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
 

Salary Information

$18 - $25 Hourly Wage
