We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Grossing Technician to join our Clinical Pathology team. This vital role involves preparing and processing tissue specimens to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, document, and process tissue specimens from surgical procedures and biopsies
- Perform gross examination, description, and measurement of specimens
- Prepare tissue samples for histological processing, including dissection and labeling
- Ensure proper fixation, embedding, and sectioning of specimens
- Maintain accurate records of all specimens and procedures performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in the laboratory
- Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in chemistry and biology required
- Prior experience in a clinical or laboratory setting is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and safety procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and tissue processing techniques is a plus

Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a biological science, medical laboratory science, or related field
- Completion of formal grossing training preferred
- Min of 1-3 years of hands-on grossing experience in a clinical, or anatomic pathology lab
- Experience with small complex specimens
- Familiarity with dermatology terminology
