The Regional Executive will be involved in identifying, soliciting, developing, and managing business relationships in the Charlotte area market for the Credit Union. This position oversees Allegacy’s strategic vision for the Charlotte market and leads all business decisions to drive and foster company growth in the Charlotte market. 


This position reports to the Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer, and Managing Director of Allegacy Services, LLC and also provides periodic updates directly to Executive Management and the AFCU Board of Directors. The Regional Executive has direct managerial responsibilities for the Business Services function in the Charlotte area. Additionally, this position will have indirect, dotted-line relationships with all Allegacy departments in the Charlotte market to include Retail Operations, Business Development, Private Banking and CRE. This position will be part of the Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) and Credit Risk Committee and Advisory Council.


Specific Accountabilities


  • Develop each employee to their highest potential by identifying their areas for improvement and appropriately coaching, training or correcting the employees’ performance.
  • Recognize employees who perform at a high level.
  • Hold employees accountable for their performance, attitude and behavior. 
  • Meet with each employee to review previous performance, set goals for performance and develop plans to improve employee’s performance.
  • Responsible for exceptional member service to every member, every time by ensuring employees deliver consistently high quality service to both internal and external member that is in alignment with our Brand Culture.
  • Ensure that the employees meet sales and/or service goals as established by the credit union.
  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives. Performs job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.
  • Identify potential sources of investment and non-interest income; refer consumer and business financial needs of business clients to appropriate Allegacy resources. 
  • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
  • Meet with potential business partners and maintain existing client relationships. Create positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients. Communicate with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems 
  • Attract new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business.
  • Develop, design and present proposals customized for each client’s specific business needs
  • Evaluate current product offerings and industry trends and recommend changes to ensure Allegacy is positioned competitively in the market.
  • Monitor market trends to develop new business opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with the leadership team in the Charlotte area and work closely with other company executives and management teams 
  • Coordination across business lines: Combine efforts of Business Services staff and foster a collaborative environment within the Credit Union’s Charlotte area business units as a whole. 
  • Work with senior team members to identify and manage company risks that might prevent growth
  • Represent the company at community, social and corporate events in ways that strengthen our brand presence and communicate the company’s message. 
  • Create brand awareness in the area and implement the necessary processes and procedures to develop the brand. 
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned. 






Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Experienced in the execution of corporate strategy and associated plans, programs, and projects in support of new market penetration. 

Demonstrated high quality leadership skills

Must be very member focused. Able to provide world-class service to our internal and external members.

Able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.

Process oriented with project management experience.  

Able to analyze current processes, suggest and define improvements, and implement them with a group.

Knowledge in loan portfolio, risk, and reserve management. Experience in pricing models and the application of capital market products, loan underwriting, third party reports, commercial loan documentation, indentures, covenants, financial regulations and different collateral/valuations models.  

Comprehensive understanding of the credit union processing regulatory environment, industry trends and practices, and have a thorough knowledge of Allegacy’s products, policies and procedures. 

Hands-on experience with market research and trends, advertising and public relations.


Education and Experience


Undergraduate degree in business or related field.

Graduate degree in finance or banking preferred.

Ten plus years of appropriate industry experience as financial executive

Commercial Bank Credit Review (Audit) experience.

External Advanced Commercial Lending schools.

External Advanced Sales seminars/schools.
