About this position
Perform grinding, polishing and cleaning of molds to maintain mold product specifications. • Uses precision measuring devices such as micrometers, dial calipers, and indicators to verify work compliance with established shop practices and drawing specifications. • Maintain a safe and orderly work area. Ensure that employees follow safety rules and report infractions to supervisor. • Wear the appropriate safety equipment at all times, attend scheduled safety meetings and conduct one’s self in a manner respectful to others, equipment, and tools. • Ability to pass classroom Avis driving test for forklifts.
Requirements:Education upon hire: High School Diploma/GED equivalant. Must possess mechanical aptitude SKILLS TECHNIQUES (KNOW-HOW): Technical know-how : • Ability to read and interpret blue prints • Ability to tear down and rebuild a mold to print • Ability to follow and document processes • Ability to program casting machine with correct casting program after a mold change • Notify supervisor when processes are not followed • Ability to follow mold change schedule • Ability to work 12 hour shift BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: Behavioral know-how: • Ability to be a team player • Wear appropriate PPE • Flexible on overtim
