About this position
Clinical
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
- Assess patient upon arrival at the Center and throughout entire stay at the Center.
- Prepare rooms, equipment and supplies to accommodate the patient load.
- Assist physician with procedures as needed.
- Monitor patient before, during and after procedure. Apply appropriate monitoring devices.
- Provide patient education.
- Clean disinfect and/or sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Document on all forms as required.
- Supervise activities of LPN and/or non-licensed personnel.
- Administer medications as directed by their physician under the guidelines of the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Interpersonal
- Maintain open and positive communication with nursing personnel and other health professionals.
- Communicate with patients, families/significant others.
- Maintain professionalism within the center.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and personnel information.
- Participate in continuing education programs
- Participate on committees as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned, within the capacity of individual knowledge and expertise.

Requirements
Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
Current State Registered Nurse Licensure
Current BLS/ACLS certification
Minimum of one year nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
