Job Title: Protestant Worship Leader
Location: Recruit Memorial Chapel & Blue Jacket Memorial Chapel, Great Lakes, Illinois
Job Type: Part-Time

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of experience leading worship, directing music, or providing praise leadership within a Protestant congregation.
Proficiency in contemporary and traditional Protestant worship music, with the ability to lead congregational singing, direct praise teams, and coordinate with volunteer musicians.
Ability to work collaboratively with chaplains, staff, and volunteers to support diverse worship requirements.

Duties:

Serve as the Worship Leader for both the Recruit Memorial Chapel and Blue Jacket Memorial Chapel in support of their Command Religious Programs.
Lead and provide musical direction for two weekly Protestant Sunday services (one at each chapel), totaling 104 services per year.
Support special observances—including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and other approved events—in coordination with the Command Chaplain (up to 10 units per year).
Provide musical support for Command ceremonies and special services, such as memorials and celebrations, on an as-needed basis.
Foster teamwork and cohesion within Protestant volunteer choirs, praise teams, and other music ministry groups, encouraging participation and musical excellence.
