About this position

Our Information Technology Support Technicians provide technical and administrative support for the company IT systems and a variety of software and hardware in use to maximize efficiency of the network.  They also respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems and determine/implement appropriate solutions.


 Your Job:

  Support users of Rockland IT technology by:

  • Being the first point of contact for end users to provide polite, timely support
  • Educating users regarding functions that may have required support assistance
  • Supporting the team’s needs related to IT  

Update Rockland Technology by:

  • Updating systems as required
  • Participating in ERP system updates/upgrades to achieve identified business results

  Oversee the Monitoring and Support of Rockland IT technology by:

  • Ensuring LAN, Firewalls, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP function as required
  • Ensuring server backups are conducted as scheduled
  • Administering Service connect, other interfaces and databases
  • Ensuring maintenance of antivirus/antimalware programs
  • Ensuring maintenance of network and server infrastructure

  Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by:

  • Attending continuing education events
  • Reviewing professional publications
  • Participating in professional organizations

Required Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience required

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Automated manufacturing environment preferred
  • Hands on software and hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with networking:  physical LAN and wireless technologies
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server 2012-2022, Windows 7-Windows 11
  • Group Policy Management/Print Management
  • SQL Server 2012/2016
  • VMWare & VCenter 7.x
  • Antivirus/Enterprise Security Suites
  • Network Cabling and Termination Experience preferred
  • Windows Server Updates
  • Microsoft Intune and PowerShell preferred
  • VOIP and Phone Systems Support
