Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychological services to individuals and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices to support mental health and well-being. This role involves conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions for a diverse population, including those experiencing PTSD and other behavioral health issues.

Location:

28 MDG, Ellsworth AFB, SD

  • Shall receive notification two week notice prior to the reassignment to another location with a 40-mile commuting radius of their assigned facility

Clinical Psychologist Schedule:

  • The work schedule will be 8 hours within the facility hours of operations, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am & 5pm-- either a 30 min or 1 hour lunch.
  • No OT
  • No on-call

Clinical Psychologist Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • Experience: at least 2 years of clinical experience as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.

Clinical Psychologist Core Duties:

  • Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
  • Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
  • Assist in rehabilitation of patients
