Overview


The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the HR department by managing employee-related benefits, leave of absences, and workers’ compensation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

 

Duties

  • Administer company leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and short-term disability; ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Perform ADA tasks including the interactive process and determining reasonable accommodations.
  • Manage employee enrollment and eligibility for insurance, retirement, wellness, COBRA and other employee benefit packages.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain compliance with ACA, HIPAA, and other labor laws.
  • Act as the primary contact for employee questions regarding benefits, claims, and leave policies.
  • File and manage workers’ compensation claims.
  • Reconcile insurance bills, audit payroll data for accuracy, and liaise with insurance brokers.
  • Manage and audit attendance program to ensure compliance, accuracy, and necessary disciplinary action.
  • Provide administrator support for workplace investigations.
  • Provide support for HR projects and initiatives.

Skills

  • Previous HR experience, particularly in benefits administration and leave management required.
  • Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, state regulated paid sick and leave requirements, and benefits-related regulations.
  • High competence with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Rippling knowledge is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail, excellent communication, organizational, and empathy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining deadlines.
