Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25 food locations.


The Reservations Area Manager is a professional position responsible for overseeing the reservations and admission team. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Revenue, the Reservations Area Manager will take an active role in scheduling, troubleshooting ticketing issues, and providing customer service to enhance the guest experience. This is a part to full time position, with hours needed starting May through December. Some nights and weekends will be required during the late summer and fall season. 

Requirements:


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all online admissions bookings and reservations, ensuring availability and accuracy
  • Serve as a point of escalation for admissions and reservations team, ensuring customer service is the focus for each guest interaction
  • Ensure phones are being answered in a timely manner, and assisting with the phone queue, as needed
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise with scanning and ticketing platforms
  • Oversee the various ticketing categories, including donations and military ticketing
  • Lead and support Admissions team leads, providing coaching and direction
  • Prepare, monitor, and update scheduling for admissions and reservation staff
  • Prepare guest entry areas pre-season, including equipment and signage
  • Assist in developing and leading pre-season training sessions for seasonal team leads and staff
  • Contribute to post-season evaluations and process improvements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Maintain clear verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use various forms of technology (laptop, tablet, cellphone).
  • Basic computer skills, along with ability to learn new computer systems utilized on the farm.
  • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.

Salary Information

$24.00 - $24.00 Hourly Wage
