Develop a strategic plan for development of new business and provide tactical steps for implementation. Perform business development functions of the credit union. Cultivate new, and maintain existing, relationships for all facets of corporate sponsorship, SEG’s, etc. 


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Perform community development activities and monitor workflow, expectations, goals and targets for new community development.
  •  Deal professionally and effectively with members, SEGs, and other contacts in promoting the credit union.
  •  Research the demographics of the area in which the credit union operates and determine population groups served by the credit union. Develop contact lists of potential new members or SEG’s to reflect research.
  •  Contact prospective members, SEGs, brokers, etc. to present information on products and services of the credit union. 
  • Serve as the primary liaison and contact for the credit union’s existing SEGs and maintain all facets of the relationship. Make formal presentations at SEGs to introduce the credit union to employees; answer questions and provide a resource that encourages participation. Coordinate enrollment meetings at SEGs.  
  •  Be a visible presence in the local community and sponsor community. Promote the credit union through visible participation in business, community, and charitable organizations and activities. 
  • Promote all products and services with cross-selling to meet members’ or SEGs’ needs.
  •  Manage the correspondence and direct marketing programs to SEGs.
  •  Manage the SEG database.
  •  May require regular travel by automobile between branches and occasional travel elsewhere • Will require availability during some evenings and weekends. 
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

  • Read reports and speak effectively to respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, members, and/or the general public. 
  • Perform basic math skill and to use decimals to compute ratios and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with several abstract and concrete variables.
