SCHEDULE 

Five hour schedule to be determined.

SUMMARY

Family Service League is seeking a part-time Social Worker for the Longwood Family Center. The Social Worker will provide individual, group and family counseling to McKinney Vento students in the district. Responsibilities include intakes and assessments of referred students.  Making referrals for higher level of care as needed.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Social Worker will provide counseling to individuals and families.
• Assist with housing programs available through the district.
• Attend meetings with the school regarding students experiencing homelessness. 
• Participate in CSE meetings and provide input.
• The Social Worker will make recommendations for various treatment modalities.
• Provide referrals for higher levels of care as needed.
• Work with the supervisor to identify potential CPS situations.
• Complete and submit all district and town reports.
• The Social Worker will obtain consents for services.
• All other duties as assigned.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, psychology or related field required.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with low income children and families.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, required.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, are required.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time
