About this position

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

Provides support and development services on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Information Technology

ERP Support & Issue Resolution

• Provide professional, courteous, and timely first-level support for the ERP system (Epicor Kinetic preferred).

• Troubleshoot functional issues, resolve basic system errors, and determine when escalation to second- or third-level support is required.

• Log, track, and document support requests using standard IT service management processes & tools.

• Assist users with navigation, transactions, data entry, and general system usage.

System Administration

• Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, roles, and security permissions within the ERP system.

• Support data integrity efforts by helping maintain master data and ensuring adherence to data standards.

• Perform routine system checks, monitoring, and cleanup activities.

Reporting & Data Tools

• Create and update reports, dashboards, and queries using tools such as SSRS, SQL, Crystal Reports, or Power BI.

• Support end users in understanding and accessing available reporting and analytics tools.

Business Process Support

• Analyze user workflows to understand functional requirements and identify process improvement opportunities.

• Document issues, requirements, test results, and process notes to ensure proper knowledge transfer.

• Assist in testing system changes, enhancements, and patches prior to deployment.

Project & Implementation Support

• Participate in ERP-related projects, upgrades, and new module implementations based on defined project plans.

• Assist with data migration, validation, cutoff activities, and post-go-live support.

• Work cross-functionally to ensure system changes are communicated and successfully adopted.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:

ERP Expertise (Epicor Kinetic 11+ preferred)

Knowledge or experience in a single-company, multi-plant environment in areas such as:

• Master Data Management (Customers, Vendors, Items)

• Financials (GL, AP, AR)

• Sales Order Management (Quotes, Orders)

• Manufacturing (Planning, Operations, BOMs, Production)

• MRP and PO Suggestions

• Requisitioning & Procurement

• Security & Role Management

• Reporting (SSRS, SQL, Crystal, Power BI)

Experience with other ERP systems is also acceptable.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent work experience.

• 2+ years of experience providing first-level support for an ERP system, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
