Maintenance Technician – Park Green Apartments
Reports To: Property Manager
Property: Park Green Apartments | 100 units
Pay: $30/hour
Status: Full‑Time | Hourly, Non‑Exempt
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of a beautiful, modern community in Tacoma, WA. This position plays a key role in maintaining building systems, completing repairs, and ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and well‑maintained for residents, under the direction of the Property Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and complete maintenance service requests, work orders, and unit make‑ready tasks
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and basic structural work
- Inspect, monitor, and maintain building systems and interior/exterior common areas
- Maintain property grounds, including trash removal and light landscaping upkeep
- Clean and maintain interior common spaces as needed
- Assist with special projects and provide oversight support for vendors and contractors
- Identify and promptly report safety hazards, incidents, or property issues
- Participate in the on‑call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks
