Site Placement: Varies
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9am - 6pm

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northwest Suburbs is seeking Site Directors for our After-School Enrichment programs, to lead daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality programming for our club members. We’re currently hiring Site Directors at all levels of our programs through elementary, middle and high school.

As a Site Director, you’ll oversee all aspects of site operations while modeling professionalism, positivity, and purpose.

Leadership & Professionalism

  • Lead by example with professionalism, punctuality, and enthusiasm
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and respectful environment for staff and youth
  • Represent and uphold the mission and values of BGCNWS at all times

Staff Training & Development

  • Train, coach, and support staff in BGCNWS mission, values, and expectations
  • Ensure health, safety, and emergency preparedness standards are consistently met
  • Guide staff in behavior management, communication, and professionalism
  • Provide ongoing training to strengthen staff skills and program quality

Program Execution & Curriculum

  • Oversee high-quality curriculum implementation that supports youth development
  • Ensure staff are planning engaging daily and weekly lessons
  • Track participation, curriculum effectiveness, and supply needs

Family, School & Community Engagement

  • Build positive relationships with parents, guardians, and school partners
  • Support staff in effective communication, including challenging conversations
  • Meet monthly with school leadership to review goals, progress, and improvements

Operations & Administration

  • Manage staff time tracking and meet payroll deadlines
  • Maintain accurate membership and staff records (MyClubHub and site binders)
  • Collaborate with your Supervisor to ensure proper staffing coverage
  • Oversee site budgets, supplies, and documentation
  • Implement performance improvement plans and conduct staff evaluations
  • Maintain thorough incident and program documentation

Mentorship & Accountability

  • Mentor and support your team while holding them accountable
  • Conduct performance reviews and set clear, actionable goals
  • Step in when needed

What You’ll Do

Lead & Inspire

  • Create a welcoming, inclusive Club environment that encourages participation and confidence
  • Supervise youth during activities, offering guidance, instruction, and positive feedback
  • Support youth in making healthy choices socially, emotionally, academically, and personally

Help Our Youth Thrive

  • Promote participation and engagement
  • Provide guidance, support, and consistent expectations
  • Foster a fun, structured environment where all members can grow and succeed

Keep Things Running Smoothly

  • Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized program spaces
  • Track daily attendance, participation, and complete required documentation (incident or behavior reports)
  • Ensure facilities, equipment, and supplies are safe and well-maintained

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is important to set expectations for the role, such as:

  • Ability to stand for long periods, engage in physical activities, and lift objects up to 10 lbs
  • Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Need for reliable transportation between different site placements

All BGCNWS staff are required to pass a background check, have a HS diploma or GED, and 18+ years old.
