About this position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 

1. Technology Strategy & Governance 

Develop and execute a multi-year technology and digital strategy aligned with Board approved strategic objectives • Lead enterprise IT initiatives to support organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation • Establish and maintain strong IT governance, policies, and internal controls • Collaborate with the Board, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to align technology strategy with organizational objectives, provide updates and guidance on IT-related matters, and communicate IT performance, risks, and opportunities. 

2. Cyber Security & Risk Management 

Oversee enterprise cybersecurity and information security programs., disaster recovery, and business continuity programs • Establish IT policies, risk management standards, and governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., FFIEC, NCUA/FDIC, data privacy, cybersecurity). • Lead technology risk assessments, audits, exams, and incident response planning • Serve as the primary IT liaison with auditors, examiners, regulators, and external stakeholders. Prepare and present reports on IT risk, compliance, cybersecurity, and technology initiatives. 

3. Systems Infrastructure & Digital Platforms 

Provide oversight of core processing systems, digital banking, infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise applications • Lead modernization and optimization initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency • Ensure high availability, system resilience, and secure operations 

4. Data Analytics & Innovation 

Establish data governance, reporting, and analytics capabilities • Partner with executives to leverage technology for automation, efficiency, and improved member experience • Conduct and oversee research on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes while balancing innovation with risk management 

5. Vendor & Financial Management 

Oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, contracts, and vendor relationships • Ensure effective vendor due diligence, contract management, and service level compliance • Optimize technology investments and total cost of ownership 

6. Leadership & Team Development 

Build, develop, and lead a high-performing IT team • Promote a culture of security awareness, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement • Ensure appropriate staffing, training, and succession planning within IT


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience and education)


PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE: 

Knowledge of financial services regulations

Knowledge of Credit Union industry trends and environment

Experience with core banking systems and digital delivery platforms


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility

Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and technology risk management

Supervisory experience required.

Salary Information

$100000.0 - $160000.0 Annual Salary
