Automotive Sales Associate

The Garnet Auto Sales Associate sells our vehicles, maintenance plans, and warranties by understanding customer needs, providing detailed information about our products, and facilitating test drives. The end goal of the sales associate is to provide a positive sales experience and ensure the customer is happy with their purchase. The sales associate builds solid relationships, meets sales targets, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a full and up-to-date knowledge of our products by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features.
• Turn customers into buyers by matching them with their ideal car.
• Cultivate buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers and suggesting trade-ins.
• Listen to and qualify buyers by understanding their requirements and interests and matching those interests to various car models.
• Demonstrate vehicle features and take customers on test drives.
• Demonstrate automobiles by explaining warranties and services.
• Close sales by overcoming objections, asking for sales, negotiating prices, and completing sales and purchasing contracts.
• Provide sales management and other dealership employees with necessary information by completing required forms and reports.
• Assist with the setup of the showroom and displays.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Enhance dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
   

Qualifications:

• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
