Rivendell provides a comprehensive package of total value: 

  • Estimated hourly OR salary base pay $x - $x (depending on qualifications)

About the Role

The Admissions and Communications Specialist is a marketing oriented position with responsibility for recruitment and retention of Rivendell families. The position is responsible for guiding families through the enrollment process and managing corresponding documentation, processes and systems. The position has a high level of engagement with parents as the lead for Rivendell Parent Association, coordinator of volunteers and managing communications and marketing content such as newsletters. The position acts in partnership on philanthropy efforts which may include event planning, open house coordination and facilitating tours for prospective families, volunteers and/or donors. 


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for generating results oriented marketing strategies and tactics, thereby meeting and maintaining Rivendell's enrollment targets.
  • Coordinates with parents to meet individually and/or in groups to share information, answer questions, provide tours and secure the admission of students. Coordinate closely with Head of School to deliver Open House events. 
  • Responsible for orientation of families, registering students, and maintaining student enrollment, demographics, health (as required), and academic records for students.


Working Conditions:

  • Hours of this job will frequently occur outside the normal school day; role requires ability to flex workload and priorities to meet evening and/or occasional weekend responsibilities.
  • Requires speaking, listening, moving oneself about the campus maneuvering uneven surfaces for up to 8 hours or more per day. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. 



Salary Information

$18.75 - $175 Hourly Wage

Requirements

What we are looking for-

  • Ability to consistently demonstrate welcoming and enthusiastic interaction style with prospective new, current or formerly enrolled families.
  • Understanding of the Rivendell's value proposition for new families and ability to successfully articulate across varied communication forums (in-person, email, phone, etc.)
  • Highly organized and self motivated; ability to deliver timely results through event management milestones, accuracy in data and effectively prioritize workload.
  • Data management and analytical skills; ability to mine, track, report and assess key information.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, admission databases, basic data management systems, and visual content development applications.
  • Understanding of stakeholder needs such as volunteers, internal team members, alumni and parents for effective coordination of committees, events. etc.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; understanding of compliance related regulations and processes (HIPAA etc.)
  • Ability to supervise the behavior, safety and well-being of students.

Required and/or Preferred Experience

  • Required:
  • One year of related experience or combination of transferable experience.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience working in a school setting.

  • High school diploma


Work Location Requirements:

Position is designated as on-site with option for intermittent remote work.
