Job Title: Registered Nurse – Disease Management
Location: Naval Health Clinic Pensacola
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 0730–1600; flexible shifts within clinic hours. Standard 8.5-hour shifts (30-min unpaid lunch) or four 10.5-hour shifts (1-hour unpaid lunch).

Qualifications

  • Certifications:

    • Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C)

    • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)

  • Licensure: Current, full, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state/territory).

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; must meet credentialing/privileging requirements.

  • Experience: Minimum two years of broad-based RN experience within the past five years.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide disease-management nursing care and participate in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Support telemedicine/tele-consult services.

  • Coordinate patient care to ensure quality, efficiency, and optimal outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with MTF policies, procedures, and standards of care.

  • Conduct physical exams, health histories, health education, and counseling.

  • Administer medications, wound care, and individualized nursing interventions.

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare staff based on scope and competency.

  • Identify and respond to adverse symptoms or emergencies.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams.

  • Arrange referrals and specialty appointments.

  • Perform nursing duties outlined in the contract/TO.

  • Participate in research to improve practice and patient outcomes.


Monday through Friday between the hours of 0730 and 1600.
The HCW shall be scheduled across the psychiatric clinic operating hours on a flexible basis. Generally, shifts are scheduled for an eight and a half (8.5) hour period (including an uncompensated thirty (30) minute meal break), or the HCW may work four (4) ten and a half (10.5) hour periods (including an uncompensated one (1) hour meal break).

Salary Information

$37.25 - $42.23 Hourly Wage
