Cumberland Grill, Somerset’s premier upscale dining destination, is seeking an experienced and hospitality‑driven Bartender to join our front‑of‑house team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in elevated service, craft cocktails, and creating memorable guest experiences.

About the RoleThe Bartender will craft high‑quality beverages, maintain a refined bar atmosphere, and deliver exceptional service consistent with a finer‑dining environment. You’ll work closely with our servers, management team, and guests to ensure every drink and interaction reflects the standards of Cumberland Grill.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency

Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to guests at the bar and in the dining room

Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service

Upsell premium spirits, wine pairings, and specialty cocktails

Follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines

Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to ensure seamless guest experiences

Handle cash and POS transactions accurately

Assist in creating seasonal cocktail menus or specials (optional based on experience)

QualificationsPrevious bartending experience required; fine‑dining or upscale service experience strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and bar techniques

Excellent communication and guest‑service skills

Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment

Professional appearance and demeanor

Must be 20+

Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays
