About this position
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design, build, and improvement of processes, machines and tools within the plant to ensure a safe, efficient and productive manufacture of filter assemblies. This position helps maintain production documentation and drawings and will collaborate closely with members of Production, Engineering and Quality teams to support continuous improvement, new program launches, equipment, machinery and technology changes. The individual needs to be dedicated and professional with strong hands-on skills who can thrive in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create Routings, work instructions, and other production documentation, with the responsibility for revision control and maintenance.
- Helps maintain Engineering documents and file structures.
- Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.
- Design and Build fixtures, tooling and equipment for producing various filter elements.
- Create component and assembly drawings using CAD software.
- Analyze and optimize production processes
- Create processes and procedures to help address various quality control issues
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis for various design and quality related issues and implement necessary production/documentation changes.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure alignment of project implementation with company needs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience working in manufacturing, assembly, production, or similar industries is preferred.
- Work closely with Production and Quality personnel to answer questions on jobs / builds.
- Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of employees is required.
- Participate in product Design and development activities
- Assist with build and assembly of filter elements and housings
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing-related issues, including those related to robotics, PLCs, and other production equipment
- Program and maintain robots and other computer-controlled equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Travel as necessary (limited)

Technical Expertise:
- Experience with creation of work instructions, routings, and procedures.
- Experience with ERP software packages ,Global Shop preferred.
- Computer proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar suite is required. CAD Experience SolidWorks Preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent is required.
- Years of experience: 4+ years of Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Technician
- Years of experience supervising: None.
