About this position
SUMMARY OF POSITION:If there is a deficit of any parts, notification is to be sent to the Shop Manager. The notification should include the part number, quantity issued and remaining quantity in inventory. Communicate with the mechanics in any changes to the inbound parts Verify all incoming parts, put parts away, and bring paperwork up to the office Keep working area, and area clean throughout shift Perform other job-related duties as per supervisor Assist Maintenance Admin when parts need to return or sent out for rebuild. Assist maintenance Admin with record retention procedures. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and perform basic math. Resourceful, well organized and dependable. High School or Equivalent Preferred: Mechanical general knowledge / aptitude Preferred: Heavy equipment knowledge Basic computer skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to routinely lift to 40 lbs without assistance Work for up to 8 hours in extreme hold/cold manufacturing environment Ability to occasionally walk/stand on concrete floors continuously for up to 8 hours Routinely ascend and descend stairs and ladders as work area requires Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – steel toed shoes, ear plugs, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) as necessary for task Exposure to noise Ability to routinely have wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
Responsible for ordering specialty parts for equipment, obtaining quotes, receipt of parts upon arrival, adding to inventory and assigning to equipment and approving invoices.
