Job Description:

The Production Shift Supervisor position is a salaried, supervisory level position that is generally responsibility for all aspects of shift operation and acts the liaison between hourly staff and Production Management. Production shiftschedules are 12 hours (36/48 per week), require working every other weekend and scheduled holidays

Qualifications:

Safety:
• Serves as safety champion to promote safe behavior and wellness for the shift
• Active participant on the Safety Committee; Trains, supports and enforces safety policy & procedures.
Personnel:
• Staffing –Coordinating coverage and line assignments.
• Payroll – Approve employee time & attendance in ADP.
• Personnel evaluation & development – Participates in employee performance review process; Identifies trainingneeds and ensures training is provided.
• Disciplinary – Responsible for enforcing company policies and disciplining employees accordingly.
• Training and Development – Insures personnel are trained for current and future roles.
Quality & Product Output:
•Oversees quality testing on samples; Trains appropriately.
Facility:
• On-site contact person after hours for emergency purposes (fire, burglar, accidents, etc.)
• Facility & system management (Alarm system maintenance & contact, understanding of utilities, etc.)

Profile and Background:

• A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with attention to detail in a fast pace work environment.•Experience in plastic extrusion industry preferred.
