Trattoria Stella is seeking a polished, experienced Concierge to lead the front door and reservation flow of our award-winning, fine dining restaurant. This role is central to the guest experience and front-of-house operations, serving as the primary steward of reservations, floor planning, and seating execution. The Concierge runs the door during service, allowing the Manager on Duty to remain focused on the dining room, and is supported by host staff as needed.

This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a high-volume, reservations-driven environment and takes pride in precision, professionalism, and exceptional guest care.

    

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve      as the primary point of leadership at the front door, managing guest flow      and seating throughout service.
  • Own      the reservation system (Resy) including guest notes, special requests,      pacing, and table plotting.
  • Arrive      early to handle reservation requests, build the evening’s floor plan, and      strategically plot reservations to ensure balanced sections and proper      cover distribution.
  • Manage      and adjust seating flow in real time to maintain smooth service during      peak periods.
  • Ensure      equitable seating for servers and appropriate pacing of covers.
  • Communicate      clearly and professionally with management, service staff, and support      hosts to ensure alignment.
  • Answer      phones promptly and professionally; correspond with guests via phone,      text, and email using polished, grammatically sound communication.
  • Coordinate      VIP guests, large parties, and special accommodations with discretion and      attention to detail.
  • Maintain      composure, hospitality, and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Uphold      all service standards, hospitality protocols, and confidentiality      expectations.
Requirements:

  Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated      experience in a similar concierge, maître d’, or FOH leadership role      within a high-volume, reservations-driven restaurant.
  • Advanced      proficiency with Resy or comparable reservation platforms (OpenTable,      Tock, etc.).
  • Strong      written and verbal communication skills, including professional guest      correspondence.
  • Excellent      organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities      simultaneously.
  • Sound      judgment and confidence making independent decisions during service.
  • Polished,      professional demeanor with a guest-first mindset.
  • Availability      to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.  

Physical Requirements

  • Stand      and walk for extended periods (6–8 hours per shift).
  • Frequent      multitasking, sustained focus, and high-volume guest interaction.
  • Ability      to move quickly between the host stand and dining room as needed.
  • Manual      dexterity for phone, computer, and reservation system use.
